About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

BBRT aims to install and operate an innovative industrial-scale plant for recycling black mass from end-of-life lithium-ion batteries and production scrap, processing the equivalent of 120,000 tonnes of batteries per year. The facility will recover high yields of nickel, cobalt, lithium, copper, and manganese to supply the EU battery industry with sustainable secondary raw materials, reducing GHG emissions by 58% compared to primary mining. Located at BASF's Tarragona site in Spain, it expects to save 2.4 million tonnes of CO2eq over its first ten years of operation.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
