About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The BioMCN facility in Chemical Park Delfzijl, Netherlands, produces bio-methanol using biomass and waste gasification technology, serving as a sustainable alternative to conventional fossil methanol. Acquired by Methanex Corporation in 2025, the plant has a capacity of 413 kt/y and focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions through renewable feedstocks. Although currently idled since 2021, it holds potential for revival with green hydrogen integration to produce e-methanol.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
