About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Biorefinery Östrand is developing the world’s first commercial-scale biorefinery to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and naphtha from solid forest residues via biomass gasification, Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, and renewable hydrogen from electrolysis. Integrated with a modern pulp mill at Östrand, Sweden, it combines advanced biofuels and e-fuels to achieve 100% GHG emission avoidance compared to fossil fuels. The project is expected to avoid 8.7 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent over its first ten years of operation.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
