About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Borealis and Hynamics have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore the development of a low-carbon ammonia production project at Borealis' fertilizer site in Ottmarsheim, France. The project involves installing a 30 MW electrolysis station to produce 4,300 tons of low-carbon hydrogen per year, powered by the French low-carbon electricity mix, which will enable the production of 24,000 tons of low-carbon ammonia annually by 2025-2026. This initiative aims to avoid 33,000 tons of CO2 emissions each year, contributing to the decarbonization of the ammonia sector used primarily for fertilizers.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
