About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Borealis and Hynamics have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore the development of a low-carbon ammonia production project at Borealis' fertilizer production site in Ottmarsheim, near Mulhouse, France. The project involves a 30 MW electrolysis station to produce 4,300 tons of low-carbon hydrogen annually, enabling the production of 24,000 tons of low-carbon ammonia per year targeted for 2026. This initiative aims to decarbonize ammonia production using electrolytic hydrogen from variable renewables, avoiding approximately 33,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
