About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Boston Metal's Brazilian subsidiary operates the first commercial molten oxide electrolysis (MOE) facility to recover high-value metals from mining waste, including slag from Mineração Taboca's tin mine. This innovative process uses electricity to extract metals like niobium and tantalum, increasing production efficiency and minimizing waste. Inaugurated in 2024, the facility is now operational and paves the way for future green steel commercialization.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
