About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The BP-Shell green ammonia project in Trinidad and Tobago involves developing a 130 MW solar-powered electrolyser facility in Point Lisas to produce 27,200 tonnes of green hydrogen annually. This green hydrogen will supply the state-owned Tringen I & II ammonia plants, which have a combined capacity of nearly 1 million tonnes per year, replacing grey hydrogen in ammonia production. Selected in August 2021 and led by NewGen Energy, the project represents an initial step toward decarbonizing Trinidad and Tobago's ammonia sector.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
