About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Graphitic Energy, formerly known as C-Zero, is commercializing a methane pyrolysis technology originally developed at the University of California, Santa Barbara, to produce clean hydrogen and solid graphitic carbon from natural gas with zero direct CO2 emissions. The pilot plant in San Antonio, Texas, was commissioned in March 2025 and is capable of producing several hundred kilograms of hydrogen and up to 1,000 kg of solid carbon per day. This process requires minimal electricity and can be deployed at scale without subsidies or carbon sequestration.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
