About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The CalCC project demonstrates a decarbonization pathway for the lime industry by capturing and permanently storing CO2 from lime production at Lhoist Group's Réty site in France. It encompasses the full CO2 value chain, including cryogenic capture with Air Liquide's Cryocap™ technology achieving 95% capture rate, pipeline transport to a coastal hub, liquefaction, shipping, and geological storage in the North Sea. The initiative targets over 600,000 metric tons of annual CO2 reduction, equivalent to 87% GHG emission avoidance compared to the reference scenario.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
