About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The CalCC project is the first industrial-scale carbon capture initiative for lime production at Lhoist Group's Réty site in France, utilizing Air Liquide's Cryocap™ technology to capture and purify 95% of CO2 emissions. It aims to reduce the plant's CO2 emissions by more than 600,000 metric tons per year starting in 2028, equivalent to the annual emissions of about 55,000 French households. The project encompasses the full CCS value chain, including transport to a Dunkirk hub and storage in the North Sea, fostering a low-carbon industrial ecosystem in the region.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
