About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Capitol SkyMine project is a commercial-scale post-combustion carbon capture and utilization (CCU) facility opened in 2014 at the Capitol Aggregates cement plant in San Antonio, Texas. It captures 15% of the cement production emissions, amounting to 75 kt CO2 per year, and converts the CO2 into valuable chemicals such as baking soda, bleach, and hydrochloric acid using Skyonic's patented technology. This initiative demonstrates profitable carbon capture and utilization in the cement sector.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
