About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The CarboClearTech project, led by Lafarge Ciments (Holcim France), implements an innovative Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) system at the Martres-Tolosane cement plant using Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption (VPSA) and cryogenisation to capture over 700,000 tons of CO2 annually with a 96.5% recovery rate. Captured CO2 is transported via pipeline to permanent onshore storage in the Pyrenean Piedmont, enabling the plant to achieve carbon neutrality by 2031. The initiative supports EU net-zero targets, reduces NOx emissions, and fosters a regional CO2 market for hard-to-abate industries.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
