About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Carbon Capture Pilot at Vicksburg Containerboard Mill, led by RTI International in partnership with International Paper, SLB, and Amazon, aimed to capture 120,000 metric tons of CO2 annually from the flue gas of the power boiler at International Paper's Vicksburg, Mississippi containerboard mill. Utilizing RTI's innovative non-aqueous solvent technology, the project targeted 90% capture efficiency, with 45% of the CO2 from fossil GHG sources and 55% biogenic. This large-scale pilot was selected by the U.S. Department of Energy for funding under the Carbon Capture Large-Scale Pilot Program but was ultimately canceled in May 2025.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
