About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The CarbonNet Project, established in 2009 and funded by the Victorian and Australian Governments, aims to establish a commercial-scale Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) network in Gippsland, Australia. It targets two offshore storage sites, Pelican and Kookaburra, in Bass Strait to enable decarbonization of industries and support Victoria's emissions reduction goals towards net zero by 2045. Currently in Stage Three of development, the project is advancing regulatory approvals and front-end engineering design, with operations anticipated in the late 2030s.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
