About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The CASTRO project designs, builds, and validates an onshore wind turbine prototype with a novel cable-stayed rotor, enabling commercially viable large rotors with high capacity factors in low-to-medium wind areas. The turbine generates electricity for nearly 6,000 Danish households annually and avoids 16,125 tCO2e over its first four years compared to a reference scenario. It enhances renewable energy share, supports 2030 emission targets, and boosts European wind industry competitiveness.<grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">21</argument></grok:render><grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">35</argument></grok:render>
