About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Centerpoint BioFuels Plant was a proposed facility by Fulcrum BioEnergy in Gary, Indiana, designed to convert municipal solid waste into sustainable aviation fuel and renewable diesel using gasification and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. It aimed to process 700,000 tons of waste annually to produce 33 million gallons of low-carbon fuels, significantly reducing lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional fossil fuels. The project was expected to create jobs and support net-zero goals but was cancelled in 2024 due to the company's bankruptcy.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
