About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The project replaces natural gas boilers with electric heat delivered via a thermal battery at Ashland’s Calvert City, Kentucky chemical plant, reducing GHG emissions associated with steam generation by nearly 70%. It demonstrates electrification with thermal heat storage using Electrified Thermal Solutions' Joule Hive system, supported by ARPA-E, as a scalable, highly replicable, readily deployable, and customizable decarbonization solution.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
