About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Climeworks Norsk e-Fuel Phase 3 project is part of the initiative to produce sustainable aviation fuel using direct air capture technology. CO2 is captured from the atmosphere using Climeworks' modular direct air capture units and combined with renewable hydrogen to create synthetic e-kerosene via Power-to-Liquid processes. This phase aims to scale production, targeting operational start in 2029 with a capacity to capture 0.184 million tons of CO2 annually, contributing to decarbonizing aviation.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
