About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The LK2BM project develops a retrofit solution to convert a pulp mill's lime kiln from natural gas to 100% biomass fuel using locally sourced hardwood residues, reducing direct GHG emissions by up to 76%. It introduces an innovative burner design that maintains kiln integrity without requiring a new installation. The project avoids over 185,000 tonnes of CO2e in the first ten years and offers replication potential in pulp/paper and other industries.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
