About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The COURSE50 program develops technologies to reduce CO2 emissions from blast furnaces in Japan's iron and steel industry by about 30% using hydrogen enrichment and chemical absorption for CO2 removal. The first demonstration phase was completed in 2017 with a budget of USD 94 million, and tests continued into the second phase, planned for completion before 2026 with USD 141 million funding. The ultimate goal is successful commercial-scale demonstration by 2030.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
