About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Carbon Clean Solutions in 2019 to develop a large-scale carbon capture plant using the CDRMax process at its Tamil Nadu facility in India, targeting the capture of 0.5 million tons of CO2 per year. The project supports Dalmia's ambition to become a carbon-negative cement group by 2040 and demonstrates CCUS technology in the cement sector. As of 2025, the project remains in the planning and feasibility stage, with ongoing policy support but no final investment decision announced.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
