About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
LowCO2bars pioneers the application of an Innovative Heating Material System (IHMS) technology in industrial hot rolling mills for steel bars in Brescia, Italy. It provides an efficient alternative to gas heating using the Joule effect, reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 55% and saving around 13,400 tons of CO2 annually. The project integrates IHMS with a hot charging system to minimize heat loss, enhance production efficiency for 680,000 tons/year of steel rebars, and support the steel industry's sustainability transition.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
