About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The URBIOFIN project demonstrates the techno-economic and environmental viability of converting the organic fraction of municipal solid waste (OFMSW) into valuable biobased products at a semi-industrial scale of 10 tons per day. It produces chemical building blocks such as bioethanol, volatile fatty acids, and biogas, along with biopolymers like polyhydroxyalkanoates and biocomposites, and additives including microalgae hydrolysate for biofertilizers. This integrated urban biorefinery approach advances the circular economy by valorizing urban waste and reducing environmental pollution.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
