About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
RGEN4 develops an innovative heating and rolling process to recover over 80% of metallic lithium from end-of-life solid-state lithium-metal batteries, enabling direct reuse in alloy production and new battery manufacturing for a closed-loop cycle. The pilot recycling line will process up to 18,000 Blue Solutions battery modules annually, avoiding 20,447 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions over its first ten years compared to reference scenarios. The project supports EU Battery Regulation, Net-Zero Industry Act, and Green Deal by reducing GHG emissions and critical material dependency.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
