This NEDO-funded project develops innovative catalysts and processes for ammonia synthesis to lower production costs and enable low-temperature, low-pressure operations for fuel ammonia. Three competitive teams from industry and academia conduct catalyst development, followed by bench and pilot demonstrations to validate the technology. The initiative supports Japan's fuel ammonia supply chain for decarbonization in energy sectors.
