About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Heidelberg Materials' Edmonton CCS project is set to create the world's first full-scale carbon capture facility at a cement plant, capturing over 1 million tonnes of CO2 annually from cement production and an integrated combined heat and power facility. Following an MoU with the Canadian government in 2023, the project has progressed through feasibility studies and pilot installation in 2024, with full operations targeted for late 2026. This initiative positions Heidelberg Materials as a leader in decarbonizing the cement industry.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
