About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The eSMR Methanol demo plant at Aarhus University's Viborg campus demonstrates sustainable methanol production from biogas using electrically heated steam methane reforming (eSMR) technology developed by Topsoe. The project validates the production of green methanol with near-zero emissions by fully utilizing the carbon in biogas, including CO2 separation and conversion. It achieved successful operation of the pilot-scale reactor and provides a foundation for larger-scale implementations aimed at significant carbon emission reductions.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
