About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Air Liquide’s ENHANCE project in the Port of Antwerp-Bruges retrofits an existing steam methane reformer into an ammonia cracker and builds a large-scale hydrogen liquefier using proprietary cryogenic technology. By replacing natural gas with renewable ammonia, it achieves 98% GHG emissions avoidance compared to the reference scenario and enables hydrogen import from long distances. The project will reduce CO2 emissions by more than 300,000 tonnes annually and support decarbonization in industry, road, maritime, and aviation sectors.<grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">19</argument></grok:render><grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">59</argument></grok:render>
