About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The FirstBio2Shipping project develops Europe's first industrial-scale bio-LNG plant at Attero’s facility in Wilp, Netherlands, converting biogas from household organic waste into 2,400 tonnes of high-purity bio-LNG annually for marine and road transport. Using Nordsol’s innovative iLNG technology, it integrates biogas upgrading and liquefaction in a closed-loop system, reducing GHG emissions by up to 92% compared to fossil fuels. The plant avoids over 87,500 tCO2e in its first decade and demonstrates scalable decarbonization for hard-to-abate sectors.<grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">64</argument></grok:render><grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">20</argument></grok:render>
