About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Sublime Systems aims to undertake the first commercial electrochemical cement manufacturing project in Holyoke, Massachusetts, by replacing limestone with calcium silicate-based feedstocks and producing industry-standard cement electrochemically instead of using high heat. This electrolyser-based process decarbonates calcium carbonate prior to clinker production in the kiln, enabling up to 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions without relying on carbon capture. The company has already used its cement in a construction project, but the commercial facility, planned for 30,000 metric tons per year, is currently on hold due to a federal funding setback.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
