About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

FloWatt will establish a first-of-a-kind pilot tidal energy farm deploying 6 vertical-axis turbines with a unit power of 2.8 MW each in the French waters at Raz Blanchard, Normandy, one of the most powerful tidal sites in the world containing 80% of the EU's tidal stream energy potential. The project enhances operational efficiency, minimizes maintenance efforts, evaluates environmental impacts, and expects an average annual output of 39 GWh, equivalent to the electricity consumption of around 17,500 residents. It contributes to EU tidal energy targets of 1 GW by 2030 and 40 GW by 2050, paving the way for commercial-scale deployment with reduced LCOE.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
