About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The GeZero project at Heidelberg Materials' Geseke cement plant in Germany seeks to fully decarbonize cement production using carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies, including oxy-fuelling. It aims to capture approximately 700,000 metric tons of CO2 per year starting from 2029, establishing Germany's first inland fully decarbonized cement plant. The initiative has received €191 million from the EU Innovation Fund and is currently in the front-end engineering and design phase, with construction planned for 2026.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
