About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The Green Fuels for Denmark project was a collaborative initiative by leading Danish companies including Ørsted, Copenhagen Airports, A.P. Moller - Maersk, DSV, DFDS, and SAS to develop an industrial-scale facility in the Greater Copenhagen area for producing green hydrogen, e-methanol, and e-kerosene using renewable energy from offshore wind. The project aimed to decarbonize road, maritime, and aviation transport by supplying sustainable fuels to partners, with phased development targeting operations starting in 2023 and scaling to 1.3 GW electrolysis capacity by 2030. Although it received significant support and funding, the project was ultimately cancelled following Ørsted's withdrawal in 2024.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
