About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Industrial Promotion Services (IPS), the industrial and infrastructure development arm of the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development, and Westgass Internasjonal have signed a Joint Development Agreement to develop a green hydrogen-based fertilizer production facility in Uganda. The project aims to produce 200 kt/y of fertilizer using electrolytic hydrogen produced with 100MW renewable energy from a local hydropower plant. This initiative seeks to reduce Uganda's dependency on imported fertilizers and promote sustainable agriculture.
