About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Green Hydrogen Fertiliser Company (GHFC) is a joint venture between Industrial Promotion Services (IPS) and Westgass Hydrogen, in partnership with the Government of Uganda, to develop a green hydrogen-based fertilizer production facility in Karuma. The project utilizes electrolytic hydrogen produced from 100 MW of renewable hydropower to manufacture 200,000 tonnes of fertilizer annually, replacing imported fossil-based alternatives. This initiative aims to enhance food security, boost local agriculture, and significantly reduce carbon emissions.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
