About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The H2Stahl real laboratory focuses on converting the steel industry in Duisburg, Germany, to hydrogen technologies to significantly reduce CO2 emissions. It tests hydrogen injection into blast furnaces as a bridging technology, aiming for approximately 20% CO2 reduction by partially replacing carbon. Long-term, it explores direct reduction of iron ore with hydrogen while addressing regulatory and socio-ecological aspects.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
