About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The H2Stahl real laboratory focuses on converting the steel industry to hydrogen technologies at the Duisburg site to reduce CO2 emissions and contribute to climate protection. It industrially tests hydrogen injection into a blast furnace, replacing part of the carbon reducing agent for an expected 20% CO2 reduction. Additionally, it develops direct reduction of iron ore using hydrogen or hydrogen-rich gases, while addressing regulatory and socio-ecological framework conditions for long-term industrial transformation.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
