About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

HBIS is operating a hydrogen Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) demonstration plant in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei province, China. The first phase, completed in 2023, produces 0.6 million tons of iron per year using hydrogen-enriched coke oven offgases, achieving over 60% hydrogen blending. The second phase is planned to expand capacity by an additional 0.6 million tons per year using electrolytic hydrogen powered by renewable energy.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
