About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The HITeUP project at Saint-Gobain Italy's Vidalengo plant aims to demonstrate a first-of-a-kind hybrid curing oven that maximizes electrification, replacing gas-fired burners with electric heating to achieve 11% relative GHG avoidance in mineral wool production. This innovation improves energy efficiency and supports the transition to net-zero mineral wool manufacturing. The project aligns with EU decarbonization goals, RePowerEU Plan, and Saint-Gobain's net-zero strategy by 2050.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
