About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

In April 2023, Heidelberg Materials partnered with engineering company Linde to install a 70 kt carbon capture system at its 1Mt/yr Lengfurt cement plant in Germany. The project, operating under the joint venture Capture-to-Use (Cap2U), captures, liquefies, and purifies CO2 for utilization, marking one of the world's first large-scale carbon capture and utilization facilities in the cement industry. It aims to commence operations in 2025, contributing to significant emission reductions in the sector.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
