About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The HIF Matagorda eFuels Facility in Matagorda County, Texas, is the world's first large-scale e-Fuels plant under development. It will utilize renewable energy and direct air capture to produce green hydrogen and recycle approximately 2 million tons of CO2 annually, yielding 1.4 million tons of e-Methanol for applications like shipping fuel or refining into e-SAF and e-Gasoline. The project features an 1.8 GW electrolyzer and is targeted for operations starting around 2027.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
