About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Hunter Valley Hydrogen Hub is a large-scale renewables-based hydrogen production facility at Kooragang Island in Newcastle, Australia, now led by Orica after Origin Energy's withdrawal in 2024. It features a 55 MW electrolyser to produce green hydrogen for Orica's adjacent ammonia plant, replacing natural gas and reducing emissions. The project has received planning approval from the NSW government and up to AUD 432 million in funding from ARENA's Hydrogen Headstart Program, with operations projected for 2028.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
