About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The HERMES project aims to bring to market the first hybrid electric regional 19-seater aircraft, ERA, through development, certification, and production in France. It features a decoupled hybrid electric propulsion system with eight electric motors, four battery packs, and two SAF-compatible turbogenerators, reducing energy and maintenance costs by 50% and achieving 51% relative GHG emissions avoidance versus conventional aircraft. The project is projected to avoid 10 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent over its first ten years of operation.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
