About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Illinois Industrial Carbon Capture and Storage (IL-CCS) project, led by Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) in Decatur, Illinois, captures CO2 emissions from corn-based ethanol production using enzymatic fermentation and CCUS technology. It stores approximately 1 million metric tons of CO2 annually in the Mt. Simon Sandstone formation, marking the world's first industrial-scale bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) demonstration. Operational since 2017, the project showcases the potential for biofuels to contribute to negative emissions and climate mitigation.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
