About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The eReform project demonstrates the first industrial-scale electrified steam methane reforming (eSMR) technology integrated into a bio-methanol plant, using biogas or biomethane and CO2 with electricity to produce syngas for 150 tonnes of methanol per day. This avoids 76,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually compared to traditional methods, achieving 95% GHG reduction. It supports the European Green Deal by enhancing energy efficiency and Europe's leadership in low-carbon chemical production.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
