About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

INEOS Infinia is a chemical depolymerization technology designed to recycle difficult-to-process PET plastic waste, such as colored bottles and black trays, into virgin-quality purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and monoethylene glycol (MEG) monomers. This enables the production of new PET packaging and polyester textiles with minimal downcycling. The technology has been successfully demonstrated at a pilot plant in Naperville, Illinois, and supports a circular economy by diverting waste from landfills and incineration.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
