About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The E-Fuel Pilot project establishes a first-of-its-kind plant in Herøya, Norway, to produce 8,000 tonnes/year of synthetic hydrocarbons (syncrude) from blast furnace waste gases using Nordic Electrofuel's innovative P2X process, which integrates reversed water gas shift and Fischer-Tropsch technology for near 100% carbon utilization. It demonstrates high efficiency, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness, achieving over 99% relative GHG emission avoidance compared to fossil fuels. The project anticipates avoiding 228,163 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions in its first 10 years, aiding decarbonization of aviation and other hard-to-abate sectors while creating significant jobs.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
