About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The Iron Electric Induction Conversion project aims to replace a coke-fired furnace with electric induction melting furnaces at U.S. Pipe's facility in Bessemer, Alabama. This upgrade will eliminate the need for natural gas and coke in the iron melting process, resulting in more than 70% reduction in gate-to-gate carbon intensity for ductile iron pipe production. Additionally, it will substantially improve local air quality by reducing emissions of particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, and sulfur oxides.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
