Air Liquide and EQIOM are collaborating on a project called K6, which aims to transform EQIOM's Lumbres plant into one of the first carbon-neutral cement plants in Europe. The project aims to capture 8 Mt CO2 over the first 10 years of operation and has received EUR 150 million in funding from the European Innovation Fund. The project will use an oxy-fuel-ready kiln with oxygen supplied by Air Liquide.
