About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Kairos@C is a joint initiative by Air Liquide and BASF to capture, liquefy, and transport CO2 by ship for permanent storage in the North Sea from five industrial plants on the Zandvliet platform in Antwerp, Belgium. The project targets emissions from two hydrogen plants, two ethylene oxide plants, and one ammonia plant, aiming to reduce CO2 emissions by 1.5 million metric tons per year starting from 2027. Funded by the European Innovation Fund, it seeks to establish the largest cross-border CCS value chain in Europe and support the low-carbon hydrogen economy.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
